Dmitry Orlov has made an immediate impact since being acquired by the Bruins on February 23rd and although his offensive contributions are noticeable, what he's done defensively may be more impressive.
Most notably was his performance against the New York Rangers on Saturday afternoon, as he help shutdown the high-powered offense.
As per Patrick Donnelly of Turner Sports:
So far, Orlov is proving to be a perfect fit in Boston, especially when paired with Charlie McAvoy.
In just 5 games with the Bruins, the 31-year-old has registered a very impressive 3 goals and 6 assists. Orlov will be a free agent at the end of the season and it will be interesting to see what Don Sweeney's plans are with him.
