The Boston Bruins are currently playing the Toronto Maple Leafs in a marquee matchup on Hockey Night in Canada (HNIC).
During the first intermission, host Ron MacLean and the panel talked about the ongoing controversy of the Mitchell Miller signing. He also revealed that general manager Don Sweeney declined an interview.
While Bruins players, mainly captain Patrice Bergeron, have been answering for his mistakes all day long.
Former NHL goaltender Kelly Hrudey, who is now on the HNIC panel, made a strong comment:
''It's a good sign and a strong message that Bruins players are speaking out against this signing.''
The entire panel was happy to see several Bruins leaders publicly speak out, noting that's something that has changed.
