ESPN's John Buccigross joined WEEI on Tuesday to discuss the Boston Bruins firing head coach Bruce Cassidy, and he had quite the take on why it happened.

Here's what he had to say:

"His communication skills people managing have been difficult to deal with. Has a running commentary on the bench, which players hear and sometimes wonder. 'Jeez I wonder what he's saying about me?' But that's not uncommon."

"The motivational tactics he uses certainly can be really harsh on young players and that's the part going forward his voice was growing tired. From what I was told, players in the exit meetings voiced their opinion about him. It was certainly not a new thing."

"I think this was more the younger players, he's not going to say the same things to Bergeron and Marchand, he just won't go there. But playing some mind games, talking about roles, talking about how it may not work out here, and the young player is then wondering what that means and if he should go talk to his agent He's firm, he's hard, he got results, but over time of not getting deep results, and with the window closing a bit with certain guys, then maybe it's time to shift, otherwise, the GM is not going to be here either."

I feel like Don Sweeney wanted any excuse to relieve Cassidy but more so put the blame for the team's failures on someone else and not himself.

Weird that it only took Bruce Cassidy exactly eight days to find a new job as a head coach who has communication and managing problems ...
