Fellow NHLers welcome Patrice Bergeron to 1000 point club

Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron recorded his 1000th career point in his 1,235th NHL game with an assist on Brad Marchand's second-period goal against the Tampa Bay Lightning Monday night.

Bergeron became just the fourth ever with the Bruins and the eighth active player to register 1000 career points. He joins Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, Patrick Kane, Evgeni Malkin, Anze Kopitar, Eric Staal and Nicklas Backstrom.
