The 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs are officially underway!
The Bruins and Hurricanes crossed paths on the opening night of the postseason and both franchises came out booming.
Right from the initial puck drop, the two squads got straight to business, delivering some heavy hits and playing at a much higher pace than during the regular season.
While the game was entertaining for all, the end result was heartbreaking for Bruins fans.
The Canes struck twice in the second frame before seeing Taylor Hall cut that lead in half in the opening minutes of the third. However, it was the Canes who took care of the scoring from that point on.
