It's fantastic to see Jack Studnicka finding his game in the NHL!
Studnicka was once a top prospect for the Boston Bruins but couldn't crack a veteran squad with solid centre depth. Don Sweeney did right by the youngster when he traded him to the Vancouver Canucks because now he's turning into an NHL regular, as he deserves.
And Monday night, he helped the Canucks in a massive way. After they trailed 4-0 to the Montreal Canadiens after the first period, Studnicka scored Vancouver's fifth unanswered goal to make 5-4, 8:49 into the third (see below):
The Canadiens would end up scoring two straight before the Canucks tied the game in the final two minutes. Elias Pettersson scored in overtime to end a wild game 7-6.
After appearing in one game for the Bruins this season, the 23-year-old has two goals and one assist as a member of the Canucks.
