Just ten days after scoring his first career NHL goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins, rookie Jakub Lauko is making an immediate impact with the Providence Bruins of the AHL.
After playing seven games with Boston and recording one goal and one assist, Lauko is back in Providence as the NHL club is getting healthy again. In his first game Friday night, the 22-year-old opened the scoring against the Charlotte Checkers with a beautiful solo effort.
Lauko is in the final year of his entry-level deal and will be a restricted free agent this upcoming offseason. His qualifying offer will be $787,500, but will the Bruins qualify the youngster? What do you think?
