The biggest concern facing the Boston Bruins is how the team will perform without important players such as Charlie McAvoy and Brad Marchand because of off-season surgeries, mainly how Montgomery plans to deploy his top-six forward group.

Head coach Jim Montgomery shed some light on the topic:

''I think we have really good depth at every position. Some players are going to get elevated (while Marchand, McAvoy & Grzelcyk are out of action), Some players like Jake DeBrusk & Taylor Hall are gonna be asked to play more important minutes, which is what they want.''

'I think in the overall term of things, as we hold water and we gain confidence when those other guys get back, I think we're gonna be a better team than what we were had those guys started the season with us. Now, I'd rather start with them, but we're gonna learn some things about ourselves.''

He noted how the biggest factor will be chemistry:

''Chemistry with lines, there's always a moving target. You know that Bergy and Marchy are going to have chemistry; who's the perfect fit to be with them, right? We're hoping that's JD.''

''Then we have the opportunity for Pasta and Krech to play together as a duo, and then Taylor Hall rides shotgun with them. But, if things aren't working, you'll see I juggle lines daily and within games too.''
