Hat tricks are definitely hard to come by, but Boston's high-flying offense has had plenty of three-goal outings this season.

Winger Craig Smith found the back of the net three times in Thursday's 5-2 over Vegas, getting the Bruins that much closer to a feat they haven't done in over 15 seasons.

With their latest hat trick, the B's have now had five different players score three goals or more in the ongoing season. That represents the most players to record three-goal games in a single campaign since the 1995-96 season, when the Bruins roster featured six.

So far in 2021-22, Patrice Bergeron, Jake Debrusk, Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak, and Craig Smith have all made hats fly onto the ice. Back in 1995-96, it was Steve Heinze, Cam Neely, Adam Oates, Dave Reid, Jozef Stumpel, and Rick Tocchet who scored the Bruins hat tricks.

With close to 30 games remaining in the regular season, it'll be interesting to see if the Bruins can squeeze out one more three-goal performance from the boys.

It would also help Jeremy Swayman, who's odds of scoring a hatty himself are slim to none, pick out a bucket for his personal collection...
