Boston is currently riding a five-game win streak and, with nearly every player having returned from suspension or injury, can finally rely on one of the most skilled rosters in the NHL.
But despite all the on-ice success, people are still questioning the squad's depth. The latest buzz is that the B's should add a key player who could center the second line, a role that was brilliantly played by David Krejci for the past 15 years.
Krejci made the decision to return home to his native Czech Republic in the off-season after stating for many years that he wished to end his playing career back where his journey all began.
Suiting up in the QMJHL prior to making the jump with the B's, Krejci had been away from family and friends for nearly two decades. While the Czech's decision to play overseas seems to have surprised many fans and media members, it is a decision that is fully understandable by Krejci's Boston teammates, fueling Brad Marchand's reply to the above tweet last night.
While it's undeniable that Krejci still has a few years of good hockey left in the tank, it's hard to argue that the Bruins are in need of additional scoring with the way the team is rolling right now.
