Earlier this morning, TSN insider Darren Dreger confirmed reports that Russian-born NHL players have been receiving death threats in relation to their home country's ongoing war with Ukraine.
Dreger acknowledged speaking with certified player agent Dan Milstein, who represents some of the top Russians in the NHL. Milstein himself has reached out to the NHL to ask for increased security around Russian NHLers due to the death threats they've been receiving, both in-person and through social media.
Some of Milstein's high-profile Russian clients include Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov and Andrei Vasilevskiy, New York Islanders netminder Ilya Sorokin, as well as Ottawa's Nikita Zaitsev and Calgary's Nikita Zadorov.
