The Boston Bruins' most recent victory over the NHL's hottest team, the St. Louis Blues, indicates the improved play in two key areas of their game. It's a preview of what this team is capable of right in time for the postseason.
The Bruins' two-game win streak has seen a massive improvement in goaltending and the entire defensive aspect of their game. Recent injury woes that have hit Boston since the beginning of April have directly impacted the club's ability to win. With the evident return of David Pastrnak, the powerplay and offence as a whole will soon be on the upswing too.
Most notably, the Bruins' powerplay, which is mired in a 0 for 27 stretch without its top goal scorer Pastrnak.
The NHL Network crew broke down the Boston Bruins' recent injury problems and what to expect from the team as they get healthier in time for the 2022 NHL Postseason.
