The Vancouver Canucks franchise is on a downward spiral right now, and I don't think management will have an easy time digging themselves out of this one.

After weeks of reports that Bruce Boudreau was already replaced (but still has to coach 3 games!), they finally pulled the trigger on Monday and hired Rick Tocchet as their new bench boss.

But it's clear the fans are not happy with the team, as just four minutes into Tocchet's tenure, a jersey was thrown on the ice Tuesday night. See below:

According to Mark Lazarus of The Athletic, that wasn't all:

''Rick Tocchet is introduced as head coach to a chorus of mostly boos here in Vancouver. Earlier, a fan threw a jersey on the ice.''

'So things are going great.''

The Canucks would end up defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 5-2 and outshooting 47-14. So, at least there was one positive for Tocchet.

Who really shouldn't be blamed for the anyway!
