Shane Wright was the consensus number one overall pick for arguably the past two years leading up to the 2022 draft.
After somewhat of a down season, Wright dropped to a projected second overall, as Slovakian Juraj Slafkovsky was the front runner for the first pick.
However, after the Montreal Canadiens selected Slafkovsky, Wright dropped all the way to fourth overall as the New Jeresy Devils took defenseman Simon Nemec and the Arizona Coyotes picked forward Logan Cooley.
The Seattle Kraken would pick Wright at fourth overall and as he was shaking Gary Bettman's hand, he appeared to give a death stare' to the Canadiens draft table.
Check it out:
Wright was adamant that he will now have a 'chip on his shoulder'' after falling to fourth.
Will the Canadiens regret it?
