Besides hearing their name and being selected by a team at the NHL Entry Draft, there's one more step that pro hockey players have to endure before they've finally made their dream come true.

Making an NHL roster out of training camp. It's the moment all their hard work pays off, and they can finally say that they did it.

And that was exactly the case for 23-year-old Cody Glass of the Nashville Predators. After being selected 6th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 Entry Draft, it hasn't been the easiest road for him.

Glass made his NHL debut with the Golden Knights in 2019 and appeared in 39 games, recording 5 goals and 7 assists. After an elbow to the head from Brendan Lemieux during the 2020-21 season, Glass had a tough time getting back into the NHL due to concussion problems.

On July 21, 2021, Winnipeg native was part of the three-way trade that sent Ryan Ellis to the Philadelphia Flyers and Nolan Patrick to Vegas. Since then, Glass has only skated in 8 NHL games, registering just 1 assist.

Hopefully, that's all behind the former highly-touted prospect, as a recent video shared by Sportsnet shows Glass being told he made the Predators opening night roster, and he's overtaken by emotions as he starts to cry, stating:

''It's just a good feeling ... I worked really hard this summer.''

Awesome to see hard work pay off! See the full clip below:
