The league has a terrible problem of recycling the same coaches through teams so it wouldn't be a breath of fresh air to see team's with vacant spots to take a long hard look at these candidates.
Amongst the candidates are several former Boston Bruins, including Marc Savard, Marco Sturm, and Jay Leach. Also some with very close ties to the Bruins organization including current Providence head coach Ryan Mougenel, his assistant coach Matt Thomas, and former Providence assistant coach Spencer Carbery.
As per Kevin Weekes (@KevinWeekes) on Twitter:
Weekes doesn't go any further than just putting out names, but there's a good chance that all of these candidates have interviewed with at least one of the several teams that had or still have head coaching vacancies.
