As we all know, NHL players will basically play through anything to win the Stanley Cup and that's what make's hockey the toughest and best sport in the world.

Watching on TV or live, us fans can tell when players are hurt, but once the playoffs are over we're always still amazed at what they put themselves through.

After losing in game six of the Stanley Cup Finals to the Colorado Avalanche, the Tampa Bay Lightning revealed the slew of injuries that were plaguing the team for a good chunk of the postseason. The most significant is a major quad tear for Brayden Point that he played two games in the final with before missing the rest of the series.

Tampa head coach Jon Cooper had this to say about his team:

"What they put themselves through. It's mind boggling ... We would have had half our minor-league team playing if it was the regular season."

In a tearful interview after the loss, Lightning forward Pat Maroon was still proud of all of his teammates:

"We should be proud of ourselves, because of the last three years ... But this one stings because of what our guys battled through every single day injuries."

"When the injury report comes out, you're going to be shocked."
