NHL legend Marty Pavelich passed away at 96 years old
Tragic news struck the NHL yesterday following an announcement from the Detroit Red Wings.
The NHL community is mourning the loss of a legend, Marty Pavelich who tragically passed away at the age of 96.
"The Detroit Red Wings are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Martin Nicholas (Marty) Pavelich, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 96 after a brief battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis." The Red Wings said.
During Pavelich's 10 year career he would play a total of 634 games, and put up a total of 93 goals, and 159 assists for 252 points during his time.
Pavelich would end up calling it a career in 1957.
This is definitely a tough time for his family and loved ones, and our condolences are with them.
