After the Boston Bruins were eliminated in the first round of playoffs, rumours instantly start circling that the club should bring back former player David Krejci.

Not until August was it made official, however, as Krejci signed a one-year, $3 million contract that only counts $1 million towards the cap hit.

One player that will most likely benefit the most from the veteran's reunion, is winger Talyor Hall. Hall came over to Boston at the 2021 Trade Deadline and found instant chemistry on a line with Krejci and David Pastrnak, recording 8 goals and 6 assists in just 16 games. The team also outscored teams 14-1 at five-on-five when together played together in 2020-21.

''He was one of those guys that I thought right away it was easy playing with him, so I hope we just hit the ground running together.''

New head coach Jim Montgomery also discussed the two getting the chance to skate beside each once again:

''I know that he texted me during the summer before Krech had re-signed (and said), 'Is Krejci coming back?' So I think he's pretty excited.''
