Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery joined the Gresh and Keefe Show while at the Jimmy Fund in Boston a couple of weeks ago.

The most important moment of the offseason was when David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron signed with the club on one-year deals. Montgomery discussed what those signings meant to him and the Bruins team:

''It was a great day for the Bruins...I just think that as a head coach, you're lucky to have players like that along with the Marchands, Pastas, and Charlie McAvoys that have created this culture.''

Subsequently, Montgomery stated that one major thing stood out to him when he first met with Bruins players:

''How proud everyone is to wear the spoked B. Being a Bruin is special. Second thing is, team first.''
