The Boston Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks in seven games to win the Stanley Cup back on Monday, June 15th, 2011.
The after-party that the team had was maybe the biggest story, though, or the receipt that was shared of what they bought was at least. The party continued into the weekend at "Shrine" nightclub at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
When all was said and done, according to Shrine, the Bruins racked up a four-hour bar tab totalling $156,679.74. Also included was a tip of $24,869.80 for their server, Danielle and a $100,000.00 bottle of "Ace of Spades 'Midas' champagne," which was apparently a gift (there were six of those bottles in the world at the time).
The team also indulged in:
- 136 Bud Lights
- 20 bottles of champagne (at $200 each)
- 67 bottles of water (gotta stay hydrated)
- 36 Red Bulls
- two more magnums of Ace of Spades (at $2,000 each)
- Plus, one Heinken Light for $6
