A couple of Boston Bruins remain in the 2022 IIHF World Championships as the tournament shifts to the semifinal stage. David Pastrnak for Team Czechia and Jeremy Swayman for Team USA have been key pieces in their team's success
so far.
Pastrnak has seven points in five games and shows no signs of slowing down, helping his country punch a ticket to the semifinals with a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Germany Thursday. Along with fellow Czech and longtime Bruins teammate David Krejci, the pair has continued to make headlines over and over with their undeniable chemistry.
Team Czechia will play Canada in the semifinals on Saturday to try and advance to the Gold Medal game, which will take place on Sunday.
Swayman also continues to make headlines, helping Team USA in a big 3-0 victory over the undefeated Team Switzerland for his second shutout of the tournament. He stopped all 33 shots he faced to allow the US to continue on to face the host Finland in the semifinal on Saturday.
Here's a big save he made on a two-on-one against Krejci and Pasta earlier in the tournament:
Here's to hoping the two Bruins superstars can meet in the Gold Medal game!
