A wholesome moment was captured after the Boston Bruins and Vegas Golden Knights game Monday night.

After the Golden Knights defeated the Bruins 4-3 in a shootout to end their impressive home winning streak, old friends Bruce Cassidy and Patrice Bergeron caught up.

The two spent six seasons together while Cassidy was head coach of the Bruins, and Bergeron was captain for the final two of them. However, according to Matt Porter of the Boston Globe, the conversation didn't have much to do with hockey at all but about family instead.

''Cassidy talking with Bergeron outside the Vegas locker room. Talking about Cassidy's son Cole, who's playing youth baseball in Vegas.''

Porter caught up with Cassidy afterwards, to find out what the two talked about:

'We were just sharing some thoughts on each other and our time together. Means a lot to me. I have a tremendous amount of respect for pretty much every guy in that locker room.''

'They play hard. Some of them worked out better than others and whatever the narrative is, every player in there, I worked hard with to get better. I have a lot of respect for every one of them.''

The two obviously go way back, and it's awesome to see them chatting like old times! Joe Haggerty of Boston Hockey Now captured a photo of the moment as well.
