One by one, players who are mostly enjoying successful NHL careers are releasing statements of proof that they were not involved.
Some of the World Junior Team players were not even part of the Canadian Hockey League at the time, and their names have been cleared. Those players are:
Cale Makar (Colorado Avalanche)
Victor Mete (Toronto Maple Leafs)
Kale Clague (Buffalo Sabres)
Callan Foote (Tampa Bay Lightning)
Dante Fabbro (Nashville Predators)
Jonah Gadjovich (San Jose Sharks)
Colton Point (UFA)
Several players have come out and shared a public statement to clear themselves of involvement:
Brett Howden (Vegas Golden Knights)
Maxime Comtois (Anaheim Ducks)
Sam Steel (UFA)
Jordan Kyrou (St. Louis Blues)
Conor Timmins (Arizona Coyotes)
Robert Thomas (St. Louis Blues)
Taylor Raddysh (Chicago Blackhawks)
Three players shared statements via their lawyers that they had done nothing wrong. However, they did not specify whether they had been involved in the incident or not:
Dillon Dube (Calgary Flames)
Jake Bean (Columbus Blue Jackets)
Carter Hart (Philadelphia Flyers)
And five individuals have so far remained silent:
Drake Batherson (Ottawa Senators)
Alex Formenton (Ottawa Senators
Tyler Steenbergen (Liiga in Finland)
Boris Katchouk (Chicago Blackhawks)
Michael McLeod (New Jersey Devils)
We're not trying to place blame on any of the players, as nothing has been proven in terms of who was involved. However, recent statements have shed some light on things.
