Somewhat surprisingly, veteran defenseman P.K. Subban retired from the NHL after 13 seasons this summer, and now he has officially announced what his post-playing career will be in the league.

As per Danny Chi with the ESPN ''Press Room'':

''ESPN has signed three-time NHL All-Star and Norris Trophy winner P.K. Subban to a multi-year agreement.''

''Subban will join ESPN's industry-leading roster of dynamic NHL play-by-play announcers, analysts and reporters, making his season debut in the coming weeks as an in-studio NHL analyst. Subban will work primarily as a studio analyst for NHL coverage while also serving as an in-game analyst for select NHL games throughout the regular season.''

Subban also has his own show called ''P.K.'s Places'' which is set to debut next year on ESPN+. The show will give fans different perspectives on the history of the NHL as Subban visits some of his favourite people and places in the sport.

The defenseman appeared in 834 NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators and New Jersey Devils, recording 115 goals and 352 assists.
