Player Stretchered Off Ice After Being Slammed On His Head
Chaos engulfed a Slovak Extraliga game as tempers flared and a player had to be stretchered off the ice.
The commotion ignited when two players from Bratislava and Poprad engaged in a heated altercation. Initially, officials and fellow players allowed the bout to play out. However, the tension escalated, leading to a full-blown brawl. In the midst of the chaos, Tomas Zaborsky of Poprad, a former New York Rangers draft pick, suffered a brutal body slam onto the ice. The impact left him unconscious. You can watch the slam here.
The second video captures the entire sequence, starting with the initial fight and concluding with Zaborsky being stretchered off the ice.
Samuel Petras of Bratislava delivered the slam, and it remains uncertain whether he will face fines or suspensions. The condition of Zaborsky is also unknown at this time.
