Ref gets stretchered off the ice after colliding with Hayden Fleury

During a National Hockey League game this afternoon, a terrifying incident unfolded, leaving veteran NHL referee Steve Kozari seriously injured.

The unfortunate event occurred during a matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins.

The harrowing moment occurred when Kozari collided with Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Haydn Fleury near center ice, resulting in Kozari being knocked unconscious.

Leah Hextall, reporting live during the broadcast, confirmed Kozari's loss of consciousness due to the impact with Fleury.
