The Boston Bruins are looking to make some changes this summer.

The team wants to add some secondary scoring and strengthen up the blueline and general manager DonSweeney has already stated it's unlikely he can keep the current roster in tact.

What does that mean? Free agents won't be signed? Big trades? Small trades?

We'll have to wait to find out.

We've already heard multiple rumors concerning defenseman Torey Krug and he's featured on many trade bait lists, and now TheHockeyWriters.com have added David Backes as a potential trade piece.

Jim Parsons mentions that the Bruins are trying to move Backes and his $6million cap hit and are even considering buying him out. It'll be hard to pull off a trade considering Backes has a full no movement clause and is 34 years old, but stranger things have happened.

Bothered by multiple injuries last year he only played in 57 games but put up 33 points. Backes has clearly been effective when healthy, however staying healthy has been a problem.
