Scary scene as Tyler Seguin leaves game after getting cut by skate (VIDEO)

With today's technology and how easy they are to pop in and out, NHL players have an unlimited supply of sharp skate blades.

At the same time, there has been an uprise in skate related injuries in the league. Whether there's a direct correlation or not, it's scary whenever we see these cutting incidents in hockey.

Tyler Seguin is the latest to suffer a significant injury from a skate blade when the Stars were visiting the Sabres on Thursday night.

In the first period, Seguin went down along the boards as he was tangled with Buffalo forward Jordan Greenway. See below:

Seguin would not return to the game but his team didn't really need him, as the Stars dominated the Sabres with a 10-4 win.
