The Boston Bruins are unable to make any roster moves at the moment as the NHL has entered their Holiday Roster Freeze, and it's in effect until December 28th.
A recent report on X (twitter) has revealed that Trent Frederic may be as good as gone now.
Trent Frederic has been involved in some big trade discussions this year as he is set to be a free agent at the end of the season, and he has not performed well this year for the Bruins.
There have been reports that the Bruins and Frederic aren't even close to a contract extension, and if there isn't one in place, or if they aren't close to one before the trade deadline the chances of him being traded are really high.
Today Bruins Cap Space on X reported that the Boston Bruins currently have $600,000 in cap space with the Holiday Roster Freeze currently in effect, and revealed that he believes the Bruins are looking to move Frederic.
Trent Frederic carries a $2.3 million cap according to PuckPedia, moving him would be easy as his cap is low, and there is reportedly a lot of contending teams interested in him.
If the Bruins don't decide to trade him, and don't have a contract extension in place by the trade deadline, there is a good chance they lose him for free in free agency.
