Ex-Boston Bruins Fan Favourite To Receive Harsh Discipline From NHL Player Safety
Former Boston Bruins fan favourite Tyler Bertuzzi may face some harsh discipline from NHL Player Safety after a slash from last night's game.
Last night Tyler Bertuzzi let his emotions get to him during a chaotic play, and it could end up costing him some serious money.
This year, the Chicago Blackhawks have not made any progress in their rebuild, as they are still a bottom of the league team even though they made some big additions in the off-season.
The Chicago Blackhawks were taking on the Calgary Flames when things ended up getting ugly.
A big scrum ended up breaking out, between the Chicago Blackhawks and Calgary Flames. Ryan Donato ended up trying to put the puck in the net past Dustin Wolf, when several players on the Flames ended up tying up the Blackhawks players.
Bertuzzi tried to pull some players out of the scrum, when Martin Pospisil grabbed him from behind and pulled him away from the scrum.
Bertuzzi was frustrated and ended up hitting Calgary Flames veteran Jonathan Huberdeau with a nasty slash to the back of his legs.
This just made things worse and a whole scrum ended up breaking out again. Posipisil ended up grabbing Bertuzzi and throwing him into the glass.
The chances of this resulting in a suspension is very low, but the NHL is definitely going to take a look at this and the chances of this resulting in at least a fine from the NHL Player Safety.
The Blackhawks ended up trying to push for a comeback but it wasn't good enough, as the Flames ended up beating the Blackhawks 6-4.
The NHL Player Safety is set to make a decision sometime today.
