The Boston Bruins don't seem to be making many changes to their lineup for tonight's game going off of their morning skate lines, but there is one change being made that was just confirmed by Joe Sacco.
Despite Jeremy Swayman's solid appearance in the Bruins previous game vs the Washington Capitals just before the holiday break, Joe Sacco confirmed that Joonas Korpisalo will guard the net for the Bruins tonight.
From Sacco:
Jeremy Swayman was the goaltender in net for the Boston Bruins when they first met in November when the Bruins got embarrassed by the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-1 which would ultimately lead to Jim Montgomery being fired the following day.
It was definitely not Jeremy Swayman's best appearance as he allowed 5 goals on 28 shots faced, making 23 saves, and had a 5.08 goals against average with a .821 save percentage.
Since then Jeremy Swayman has been a better goaltender for the Boston Bruins, but Joe Sacco does not want to see the same thing happen and has decided to place Joonas Korpisalo in net instead.
Korpisalo hasn't played too many games for the Boston Bruins this year, but in the games he has, he has been solid for the Bruins posting a 7-3-1 record, with a 2.42 goals against average, and a .904 save percentage.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. when the Boston Bruins take on the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.
