With the recent reports of a trade involving Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand heating up, it has been reported that they have officially revealed their asking price for him ahead of the NHL trade deadline.
The past couple of days, it hasn't felt like Brad Marchand was going to be traded by the Boston Bruins, but Thursday night out of no where trade talks ramped up.
NHL insider Chris Johnston was the first to report that the Boston Bruins are still trying to work out a contract extension with Marchand, but they were receiving calls on him and were still open to make a trade happen.
While the #bruins continue to go back and forth with Brad Marchand on a possible contract extension, word is they're still open to potentially trading their captain: Teams calling with interest aren't being told "no" right now.

According to The Fourth Period, with all the talks of a trade involving Brad Marchand, the Boston Bruins have now revealed their asking price for their captain.
The Fourth Period reported that the Boston Bruins are looking for a first-round pick and a young roster player in return for Brad Marchand.

Marchand has stated multiple times that he wants to remain a Boston Bruin for the remainder of his career, but at the end of the day this is a business.
There have been talks that the Vegas Golden Knights are heavily pursuing acquiring Marchand.

Also despite rumours linking him to Edmonton to play with Canadian national team teammate Connor McDavid, I don't think that's happening at this time.
