The Ottawa Senators are preparing the host the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, but there's allegedly some controversy.
Brothers Mathieu Joseph (OTT) and Pierre-Olivier Joseph (PIT) were set to play their first NHL game against each other.
Instead, just hours before warmup, Senators head coach D.J. Smith healthy scratched Matthieu.
However, upon further investigation, Ian Mendes of the Athletic has revealed that there may be more going on behind the scenes that influenced Smith's decision.
At first glance, it appears to be a heartless move by the head coach. But you have to honour that he's most likely abiding by rules he enforced.
