Steven Stamkos records point number 1000

Another player has joined the 1000-point club!
Following shortly behind Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron, who recorded his on November 21st, Lightning captain Steven Stamkos collected point number 1000 Thursday night.
Stamkos recorded the milestone point with a secondary assist on Nick Paul's goal, making it 2-0 over the Philadelphia Flyers.
With 494 goals and 506 assists in 945 games, Stamkos becomes the eighth active player to reach 1000 points, joining Alexander Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Patrick Kane, Anze Kopitar, Nicklas Backstrom and, of course, Patrice Bergeron.
