On April 2nd , 1969, during a playoff game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, a devastating hit in which the famous elbow or no-elbow' incident took place (which is still debated to this day).
The hit was thrown on Bruins superstar defenseman Bobby Orr by Leafs defenseman Pat Quinn, and obviously, there was going to be bad blood between immediately following.
Bobby Orr laid unconscious and things got really heated from there. Enjoy the videos:
Oh yeah, the Bruins also defeated the Maple Leafs by a score of 10-0.
Did You Know:
Forbes Kennedy of the Leafs was fined $1,000.00 and suspended for four games for hitting George Ashley, one of the linesmen officiating the game.
It proved to be Forbes Kennedy's last game in the NHL.
