The GM was asked was his plans were for the 21st overall pick of last year's draft.

Swedish-born forward Fabian Lysell has been outstanding in his first WHL season with the Vancouver Giants. In just 43 games played, he leads the team in all major stat categories with 20 goals, 31 assists, 53 points and a +18 ratio.

As per the Bruins website, Sweeney did not rule out the possibility of the top prospect beginning his pro career in either Providence or Boston once he finishes his season with Vancouver.

"After his junior season, he could join either club, to tell you the truth, as a signed reserve list player," said Sweeney. "He's trying to do everything he possibly can to put Vancouver in the best spot they're in, and hopefully continues to have a good offensive year overall, working on his habits. I was out, saw him a couple of weeks ago. Met with him, just making sure the lines of communication [are open].

"He understands he's got to stay in the moment where your feet are, where he could be. Take care of that process, take that as far as you can, and there's an opportunity as soon as that one closes. Hopefully they play for as long as they possibly can, and that's where he should focus. But he's a possibility for Providence, and here as well."

Those last words echo loudly for Bruins fans. The chance of seeing such an elite talent joining an already solid offensive core would be a massive boost to the B's.

Lysell will surely come with some growing pains as he's still just 19 years old, but he played 26 games in the Swedish Hockey League last year, so he knows the required adjustments he needs to make to play against grown men.

One thing is for sure, no matter where he goes next, Lysell will be electric:
