Lysell has shifty edgework and his speed will pressure NHL defensemen. He can make highly-skilled plays through checks at fast speeds. Lysell sees the ice well and can hit seams. His size and compete are the biggest knocks on him, as he tends to drift to the outside and can be taken out of games physically. Due to his pure talent level, though, he projects as a top-nine winger.''
