The Vegas Golden Knights are in trouble in the goaltending department for the 2022-23 season.

Backup Laurent Brossoit will miss the first few months, while starter Robin Lehner will be out the entire season, both following offseason surgery.

GM Kelly McCrimmon announced that the club would start the season with a duo of Logan Thompson and Michael Hutchinson earlier this week.

However, that seems to not be the case as McCrimmon has made a deal with their rival San Jose Sharks.

As per the Golden Knights PR:

''Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, August 29, that the team has acquired goaltender Adin Hill from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.''

Hill appeared in a career-high 25 games with the Sharks last season, recording a 2.66 GAA, .906 save percentage and two shutouts.

He was originally drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the third round (76th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
