As per Blackhawks radio correspondent for the NHL Network, Al Cimaglia, Chicago has a very steep price if a team wants to acquire Alex DeBrincat.
''I have heard the "ask" for DeBrincat is basically three 1st-Rd Picks-one for this year and 2 more coming in previous years + a high-end younger player who can play in Chicago this season. That's a big ask and if it stays that way DeBrincat could definitely be here in October.''
Three first round picks is a tall ask, but DeBrincat has already solidified himself as a first-line player and is a two-time 40 goal scorer on a struggling Chicago team.
Crazy to think DeBrincat was passed by every NHL team at least once in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft before the Blackhawks took him in the second round (39th overall).
Now they could fetch three first round picks from a team that's willing to pay!
