Do you remember where you were on October 18th, 2003? Because it's safe to say that Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron remembers very clearly.
The Bruins were at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California, taking on the Kings in an early season battle. Bergy was coming off a game against the Dallas Stars where he recorded his first career assist, and now in just his fifth game, he was looking for his first NHL goal.
And he did just that against the Kings and longtime goaltender Roman Cechmanek! Watch it below:
While he's gone on to score 399 more times since then, Bergeron will surely never forget his first tally, as it kick-started what is now a Hall of Fame career.
Bergeron was skating alongside veterans Brian Rolston and Sergei Samsonov back then, a quick indication of how long and good he's been with the Bruins!
