Thanks to analytics, we can confidently see which NHL players are terrible defensively. The stat that show that is Expected Goals Percentage (xG%). According to @datadrivenhockey on Instagram, here are the top-five worse defensive forwards in the league.

For reference: is a stat where we use shot quality to determine which team is expected to score more goals when a certain player is on the ice by looking at the difference between expected goals for (xGF) and expected goals against (xGA).
