Big update on another restricted free agent in the NHL!
This time for Kailer Yamamoto of the Edmonton Oilers, who have settled on a new contract now avoid arbitration.
Yamamoto was scheduled for an arbitration hearing on August 7th before reaching the agreement. He'll also still be an RFA when his new deal expires in 2024.
The 23-year-old just had the most productive season of his career, collecting 41 points in 81 games
According to Cap Friendly, the Oilers are currently $6.03 million over the cap limit, but can hide up to $6.367 million on LTIR with defenseman Oscar Klefbom and goaltender Mike Smith.
