After an eight-month battle with lung cancer, South Korea's first-ever Olympic goal scorer and captain, Minho Cho passed away on Wednesday, June 15th at the age of 35.
Cho first appeared with the South Korean national team in 2008 and was a mainstay on their World Championship and Olympic qualifying rosters since. 2018 was a big year for South Korean hockey as they hosted the Winter Olympics and participated in the top division of the World Championship for the first time.
In four games at the 2018 Olympics, Cho had one goal and was a minus-four.
Our thoughts are with Minho Cho's family, friends and teammates at this time.
