The incident began at 14:04 of the second period when Nosek was attempting to skate at Nashville's net where he was boxed out, losing his balance and crashed hard into the boards. He was down on the ice for quite some time before being helped up with assistance.
After the game, head coach Paul Maurice did not have an update on his status but will have one on Tuesday as Nosek is currently being checked out by doctors.
The undrafted 32-year-old who stands at 6 foot 3 and 205 lbs began his career with the Detroit Red Wings in 2015. He's had several stops including the Vegas Golden Knights, Boston Bruins, the New Jersey Devils and now the Florida Panthers.
According to NHL.com, his total games per season has never been a full year and injuries have continuously followed him everywhere he goes.
Last season in the New Jersey organization, he only played 36 games while scoring two goals with four assists for six points and was a - 11. For a career total, he has played 434 games so far, scoring 44 goals with 63 assists for 107 points and is a - 13.
With every team he plays for, it's clear that he is an effective center and penalty killer, while playing along the bottom 6 which gives each team depth scoring. The Florida Panthers decided to award him a one-year contract on July 1st worth $775,000.
The Bruins played their first preseason game against the New York Rangers and lost 3-2. Their next game will be at home against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday September 24th and game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
