Former junior hockey player has tragically passed away at the age of 31.

The hockey community is continuing to mourn the loss of current and former hockey players, and it was announced today that Troy Wylie who played for the Napanee Raiders of the PJHL has passed away.

It was announced by his former team that yesterday morning Troy Wylie had passed away.

Our Organization is devastated this morning by the news of the tragic passing of Troy Wylie at the age of 31. Troy played for the Raiders from 2011-12 to 2014-15 and served as an alternate captain many of those years. The Kingston native could capably play forward - where he was seldom lost a battle along the boards - and defense, where he could be counted on for making simple, smart zone exits.
He was incredibly dedicated through goods times and bad. He was remembered by those who played with him and coached him as a great teammate, a hard worker, and a kind, respectful person away from the rink who loved his family and friends. We extend our condolences to Troy's fiance Chelsea, his parents Pete and Tammy, their family, and the many whose lives were better for having known him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Wylie and his family as they navigate through this tough time.
