The Boston Bruins sure have a lot of firepower on the roster.
But when it comes to naming some of the best snipers on the squad, Trent Frederic is never a name that gets even close to being brought up.
That's because Frederic, who's enjoying a career-best in goals, has found the back of the net just eight times this season.
However, the 24-year-old needs some recognition for his effectiveness off the game's opening draw.
By scoring with just 1:10 off the game clock yesterday, Frederic netted the 8th goal the Bruins have scored within the opening 90 seconds of a game this season.
With eight goals in the opening minute and a half of games, the Bruins lead the entire NHL in that category this season.
What's even more impressive? Trent Frederic alone has scored three of those eight goals!
There seems to be something about that fresh ice that gets Frederic on the board... so perhaps Bruce Cassidy should consider starting him more often in the postseason?
