Former Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask was part of the 'Boston Pride Hockey' scrimmage Thursday afternoon.
He wasn't playing his usual position as he was seen trying to score on the goalies instead of his regular opposite. Even more unique is that Rask borrowed Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron's skates and defenseman Charlie McAvoy's stick for the game.
Check it out here:
Tuukka spoke to the media after the scrimmage and praised the city of Boston:
"The city of Boston has been so welcoming to me, like, after retirement. People have been thanking me. It's almost overwhelming support. I told a bunch of people the other day at US Open that I'm coming back. I said, 'You should tweet that' Everything has been great."
Being part of the scrimmage was Rask's first big job in his role as brand ambassador he took with the club after retiring halfway through last season.
