Two fans were killed outside of the Detroit Lions game the other day.

Sadly, Detroit Police Chief James White confirmed that two fans have died following a shooting that took place on Sunday afternoon outside of the Detroit Lions game.

James White reported to the media that they have arrested a man in his 30's after the altercation took place on Sunday. Sadly a man in his 40's died immediately following the altercation, and another man in his 20's was rushed to the hospital, but would ultimately pass away due to his injuries.

"It's a beautiful day and shouldn't have led to this, but it did and we're going to do what we do well and do the investigation and get it closed out and unfortunately, you got a family now who's going to have to deal with the loss of a loved one," White said.

The officers that responded were directing traffic following the Lions game, when they heard shots being fired. White reported that the man was arrested immediately and taken into custody.

"They were able to get him into custody quickly and recover two weapons from the scene and we're kind of piecing all of that together right now, but we do know we have the shooter," White said. "No one else is at risk. No one in the community. No one in this area is at risk."

White stated that the investigation is still ongoing, stay tuned for further details.
