The Boston Bruins made two major moves at this year's Trade Deadline, but perhaps the biggest was acquiring Tyler Bertuzzi from the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday morning.

Bertuzzi spent the first nine years of his pro career in the Red Wings organization after being selected 58th overall in 2013. Despite being sad to leave Detroit, for obvious reasons, Bertuzzi's also excited for his new opportunity with the Bruins.

The 28-year-old met with the Boston media for the first time on Friday:

'Yeah, it was an emotional day [Thursday]. Once things settled down, when I landed here, I just got very excited and I'm just looking forward to being hereI'm grateful for this opportunityI had an idea I was going to be getting traded, I didn't know where but I'm very, very happy that it's here and I'm looking forward to get going.''

''Obviously, a special group here. I met most of the guys today, coaches and everything, so it's going to take me a little bit to get used to everyone but I'm excited. I'm excited to just play.''

According to Nick Melanson of the Something's Bruin Podcast, head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed when Bertuzzi will make his debut:

On ESPN just now Jim Montgomery confirmed that Tyler Bertuzzi will make his #NHLBruins debut tomorrow against the Rangers.

Montgomery also shared that the newest Bruin will play on the third line alongside Charlie Coyle and Trent Frederic on Saturday against the Rangers.
